Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend provides financial assistance for Child Care to over 3,000 families in the twelve counties of the Coastal Bend - Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Duval, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio. Receiving child care assistance helps many parents keep their jobs as they work to improve their lives and the lives of their children. Aid is limited and not everyone who qualifies will be able to get it right away. Frequently, we have to place families on a wait list and we are continually enrolling from our wait list. We encourage you to place your name on the wait list and at the same time seek other resources for affordable Child Care.

If your family meets the eligibility requirements, and if funding is available, we may pay a portion of your family's child care costs. You will be responsible for a co-payment based on your family's household gross income. The parent(s) in each family must be employed, in school, or in vocational /technical training at least 25 hours a week (single parent household) or 50 hours a week (two-parent household).

If your family meets all requirements for assistance, but funding is not available due to limited funds, your family will be put on a wait list for assistance. If you are placed on the wait list, it is extremely important that you keep Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend Child Care informed of any changes in address, phone number, or family circumstances.

Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend can help you find other options for affordable care in your area. Please call any of our career office locations. Families can access assistance by telephone, by mail, on-site at local career offices, and now via on-line services.
